Derrick brings more than 22 years of experience in designing gas processing plants. Over his career he has been instrumental in designing over 150 treating and processing plants. Since founding the Derrick Oneal Company in 2019, he has utilized his extensive knowledge to develop state-of-the-art solutions in the midstream industry.
Derrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, where he contributes to the Chemical Engineering Advisory Board.
Jake brings a wealth of experience with over 14 years in both design and operation of natural gas processing plants. His operations experience has deepened his knowledge and understanding of the needs of our midstream customers. All this makes Jake an asset in delivering innovative solutions to the midstream industry.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
Daniel brings more than 12 years of engineering and project management experience to the company. His process engineering background makes him instrumental in coordinating midstream project execution, including debottlenecking studies and custom equipment projects.
Daniel earned a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Missouri State University.
Clay brings more than 14 years of specialized experience in gas processing plants. He has an extensive background in addressing operational challenges and optimizing plant performance with valuable troubleshooting expertise. His knowledge and experience contribute significantly to advancing the company’s engineering and processing capabilities.
Clay earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
Helen brings more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including over 14 years specializing in midstream operations. Helen has a proven track record in spearheading sales efforts, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing product development. Her expertise and leadership continue to drive success in the company’s business development efforts.
Helen earned a Bachelor of Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering from John Brown University.
Clint brings more than 18 years of experience in the gas processing and energy sectors. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, he draws on his extensive background in procurement, fabrication, logistics, and project execution to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
His experience spans major equipment procurement, pipe, valves and fittings, instrumentation and electrical materials, pressure vessels, skid assembly, and outsourced piping and structural fabrication. Clint also has more than a decade of experience coordinating the transportation of towers, skids, and other over-dimensional equipment to project sites.
With a practical understanding of the full project lifecycle, Clint helps connect customers with the right people, resources, and solutions to support successful project execution and long-term partnerships.
Clint earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Tulsa.
Justin brings more than 18 years of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Since obtaining his professional engineer license in 2009, Justin has led numerous high-profile projects, including the design and implementation of complex systems for major companies. His extensive expertise encompasses low and medium voltage power systems, control panel design integration, as well as instrumentation specification and design.
Justin earned a Master of Science in Control Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from Oklahoma State University.
Cody is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience specializing in pressure vessel design and analysis. His expertise in engineering mechanical systems and equipment enables the company to deliver tailored, innovative solutions for our midstream clients.
Cody earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
Quality Manager
Matthew brings over three decades of industry experience to the company, beginning his career in fabrication before transitioning into quality management, where he has spent the past 18 years. His extensive background makes him a key asset in overseeing quality programs across all project phases, from design and fabrication to onsite construction and commissioning.
Matthew holds several key qualifications, including Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), ISO 9001 Auditor, and Six Sigma Green Belt. His comprehensive understanding of quality systems and industry codes ensures the consistent delivery of compliant, high-performance solutions across diverse oil and gas projects.
Drafting Manager
Josh brings over 20 years of experience in design and drafting, with a focus on piping and structural design. He developed his oil and gas expertise through roles with industry leaders such as ONEOK Partners, Air Products, and Linde Process Plants. Leveraging his advanced CAD expertise, Josh has developed a streamlined drafting approach that minimizes human error and enables fast, accurate deliverables to meet client schedules.
Josh received his education in drafting and design from Tulsa Community College and Central Area Vo-Tech.
Senior Lead Designer
Brad brings over three decades of experience in gas plant layout and design, beginning in the 1990s with TH Russell Company and later with Thomas Russell Company.
His portfolio includes designs tailored to the challenging terrain of the Marcellus Shale, as well as standard plant configurations adaptable to a wide range of customer needs.
Brad’s legacy knowledge and versatile design approach make him a valued resource for our clients and the Derrick Oneal Company team.
